Grigoris Markou is currently a PhD Candidate in Political Science at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. His PhD research is financially supported by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) and Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI) (Scholarship Code: 391). He is an associate of ‘Populismus’ observatory and the coordinator of the ‘Populism Study Circle’ (Aristotle University). His research interests include: Argentinian and Greek politics, populism, democracy and radical left parties. He has published articles in international academic journals and global media platforms about populism and democracy.
