Derya YÜksekCharles UNiverstyDerya Yüksek is a researcher and lecturer in media and communication studies. She holds a PhD in the same field from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, and an MA in political science from the University of Trieste. Her research focuses on media, democracy, citizen and youth participation, and conflict transformation, studying, in particular, the role of participatory processes and participatory media practices in reconstructing peace in conflict and post-conflict contexts. With a specialization in project management, she has also been involved as a manager and consultant in international cooperation projects in the areas of culture, education, and media across the Euro-Mediterranean, in parallel to her academic engagements.
