Craig LoveUniversity of EssexCraig Love is a PhD student in the Department of Government at the University of Essex, where he is also a member of the Centre for Ideology and Discourse Analysis. He holds a BA (Hons) in Politics from the University of Strathclyde and an MA in Political Theory from the University of Essex. His PhD research focuses on the 2014 Scottish Independence Referendum, with a specific interest in the ways in which elements of Nationalism were articulated into and by the pro-independence discourse. His broader research interests include Scottish Politics; the theories and applications of Antonio Gramsci, Valentin Voloshinov and Stuart Hall; theories of nationalism and cultural identity and applications of Q methodology.
