Théo AiolfiUniversity of BurgundyDr Théo Aiolfi is a junior professor at the University of Burgundy, as part of the Centre Interlangues Texte, Image, Langage. He is also an associate researcher of the research group Echo: Media, Culture and Politics at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Before joining the University of Burgundy, he was a Marie Curie postdoctoral researcher at CY Cergy Paris University as part of the EUTOPIA Science and Innovation Fellowship (SIF) he was awarded from 2022 to 2024. Before that, Théo was an early career teaching fellow at the Institute for Advanced Teaching and Learning (IATL) of the University of Warwick, where he previously completed his PhD in Politics and international studies in 2022. He has been involved in various research initiatives, notably as convenor of the Warwick Performance and Politics Network (WPPN) from 2018 to 2022, as member of the International Populism Research Network (IPRN) and as one of the convenors of the Populism Specialist Group (PSG) of the Political Studies Association since 2022. His interdisciplinary research is located at the intersection of political science, communication and performance studies. His research interests include populism, performativity, style and politics as performance, with a focus on far-right politics and political leadership.
